The Demoiselle Log

a Whitsundays chronicle

The Demoiselle Log

Twelve guests, the Whitsundays, and a boat called Demoiselle. A day-by-day chronicle, written as it happens.

Every day gets a page. Every photo gets a home. Every story gets told properly.

The voyage, day by day
Special editions

When a story outgrows its day — a race between islands, a feast worth a chapter, a mystery at anchor — it gets a page of its own, like this space is waiting to prove.

Demoiselle

MY Demoiselle: thirty metres of motor yacht built for exactly this, with a sun deck for the morning watch, a saloon screen sized for the nightly reel, and cabins for ten. Captain Laurent and a crew of four. She is also, in the interest of full disclosure, entirely fictional: this page is written fresh for every real vessel, because the boat is always one of the characters.
